1. Can I play your video on my computer?
- Yes, DivX-video can be played on all major computer platforms, you just need to download and install the proper software:
- for Windows XP or 2000: download the free "DivX Play Bundle" here
- for MacOS X: download the free trial version of "DivX for Mac" here
- for Windows 98 or ME: download the free "DivX Play Bundle for Win98/ME" here
Our older video (in archieves 2001, 2002 and 2003) is made using the MPEG-1 format and can be played by any media player.
2. I use Windows 98 (or ME) and the official DivX site says that my OS is no longer supported. What can I do?
- You can download the free "DivX Play Bundle for Win98/ME" here
3. I use Mac and the official DivX site says that DivX for Mac can be purchased for $19.99. Can I get a DivX player for free?
- Yes, just download the free 15-days trial version. To watch our video you don't need the paid features and the DivX video playback do not expire at any time.
4. When I play your video there is no picture. I hear only the sound.
- It means that you have not installed the "DivX Play" software. Please, read answer for the 1th question.
5. When I click on the link to the video on your page it will not load.
- Due to the high resolution our video files are quite large, so it is highly recommended to download them first to your computer (by right-clicking on the link and selecting "Save target as...") and then open in the player software.
6. Picture is upside-down or mirrored when playing DivX movies.
- If you don't already have the latest version of the DivX codec installed, make sure to upgrade before trying any of these suggestions.
If the video still plays upside-down or mirrored after upgrading, it's likely that you have some conflicting DirectShow filter(s) installed that are flipping the video. The two most common filters that cause these type of problems are the Bicubic Resize filter (bicubic_resizer.ax) and the G400 filter (divxg400.ax). To check if any of these filters are installed, simply look for the files in your C:\Windows\System32 directory (on the drive where Windows is installed). If you find any of these filters installed, simply goto the Start menu in Windows and select "Run...", then enter "regsvr32 /u filename.ax" in the box and click the OK button to unregister the filter.
Another way to possibly fix the problem is to goto the Tools->Options->Performance->Advanced menu in Windows Media Player and deselect the "Use video mixing renderer" option. While this option works for some it doesn't solve the problem for everyone.
If you don't want to waste your time for this, you may just download
the free VLC-player from www.videolan.org. That player uses its own
decompressor, so doesn't depend on DirectShow, therefore it should work
smoothly.
7. Can I use download accelerator applications (i.e. Get Right, Flash Get, etc) to download your movies?
- Yes, you can use download accelerators, just the download link should be modified a little. When copy the link to the downloader program, please, delete
the following code from the link:
"download.php?file="
For example, the link:
http://www.defloration.tv/members/download.php?file=bianka_deflor/bianka_hard_full.avi
should be changed to:
http://www.defloration.tv/members/bianka_deflor/bianka_hard_full.avi
